What is Charlie Charlie are you there all about? After some findings about it, it is said to be a modern incarnation of the Spanish paper and pencil game called JUEGO DE LA LAPICERA. Just Like a magic 8 ball, the  game is played by teenagers using held or balanced pencils to produce answers to questions they ask.

Mostly Teenage girls have played Juego de la Lapicera for generations in Spain and Hispanic America asking which boys in their class likes them.

It is said that the game was popularized in 2015 in the English speaking part of the world. And it became popular partly through the hashtag #CharlieCharlieChallenge..On 29 April 2015, an alarmist newscast about the game being played in Dominican republic was uploaded to YouTube, and the unintentional humor in the report led to the game trending on Twitter, crossing the  language barrier  around the world. Now more than 2million people have made use of the the hashtag  #CharlieCharlieChallenge over the past 48 hours.. it is believed that Players ask questions which are supposedly answered by Charlie - a mysterious demon who spookily moves the pencils, to either yes or no A Twitter user with the username  @_kluh was one of the first to use the hashtag #CharlieCharlieChallenge. It was also made popular by a number of big social media stars in the US. But where did the game come from? Several reports and tweets claim the game's origin is in Mexico while some people are not interested to know the origin..Nigeria is not left out of the challenge as many have shared their experiences on the social media platform..to see and confirm for themselves what it is all about.
